About the project

Melasti Villa Complex, named after the beach of the same name on the island of Bali, is a strict and modern premium architecture complex for people accustomed to relaxing with an enhanced comfort level.

The complex consists of twenty villas, which have a spacious kitchen-living room with a second light, several bedrooms, comfortable terraces with billiards, and a home cinema.

In addition, in the courtyard of each villa, there is a swimming pool with a jacuzzi area. Some villas have areas with outdoor fireplaces, which add coziness and allow you to spend time using different life scenarios.
The inspiration for the creation of this complex was laconic shapes and lines. The facades of the first-stage villas greet us with two volumes: the lower one, finished in noble natural dark stone, and the upper, light volume, finished in light plaster.

Panoramic glazing, which we used both for the front facades and for the patio, adds lightness. The facades of the second-stage villas are similar in decoration to the villas of the first stage since it was important for us to maintain a single style and architecture.

In the second stage of the villas, details appear in the form of laconic but accentuated metal entrance doors. Signposts are in harmony with them. To ensure privacy, we used black sliding slatted partitions, which emphasized the correct architectural forms of the villas.
We wanted to add interesting details to the architecture of the villas. So that you would want to spend time, take photos, and share them on social networks. Therefore, one of the solutions was to make the pool a non-standard straight shape, but a corner one.

Also, one of the interesting techniques were the steps, which are present in the exterior and go inside the villas in single lines, continuing in the interior. In addition, in the patio, we placed an area with a fireplace, which also continues the steps idea.
Another interesting detail was the “frame” we used to frame the backyard. It completes the correct shape of the villas of the first stage. Inside the outline of the frame, we placed an installation in the form of luminous balls.

In addition to the balls, we also offered our customers a more traditional solution: to plant a palm tree in the backyard, which would stretch upward through the frame and be beautifully illuminated in the evening.

In the villas of the second stage, interesting details were an outdoor shower in the form of a cascading waterfall and a rectangular element on the wall of the courtyard, which in the evening, when illuminated, creates the effect of a floating volume, attracts attention, and makes you wonder, “How does this work?”.

When developing a planning solution for the villas of the first stage, an important wish of the customers was to create a large kitchen-living area on the ground floor. At the same time, they did not like the fact that there was supposed to be a staircase in this room.

We proposed to fence off the stairs with a partition and add a floor-to-ceiling window. Thus, visually, we moved the staircase out of the kitchen-living room area and added an interesting element to the facades.

The wishes for the layout of the second-stage villas were to make the villas more compact with interesting details. This is how we came up with solutions in the form of additional floor-to-ceiling windows, which we used on the second floor in the bedrooms and the corridor area.

The land plot on which the villas are located has a highly sloping topography, and in this case, the steps are already of a practical nature. With their help, we managed to avoid extensive excavation work since the steps “sit” on the terrain. In the interior they will have a “floating” effect and will additionally stand out as accents by using lighting.

When working on this project, it was important for us to combine a rational approach with creative details. This is embodied in ergonomic and thoughtful layouts, modern facades, and a creative courtyard. We are sure that it will be comfortable to spend time in these villas, feeling freedom and unity with nature, and enjoying holidays with family or friends.

When developing architectural forms for this project, customers asked to adhere to minimalistic modern shapes and volumes. But when designing the interior, on the contrary, we wanted to emphasize the status of the complex and add bright elements. In the kitchen-living room area, we used a noble color base in light shades with accent details in the form of the kitchen island, glass blocks, and huge pendant fish-form lamps covered with multiple LEDs, which look amazing in the evening.

On the ground floor of the first-stage villas, in addition to the kitchen-living room, there is a separate block with a bedroom, a dressing room, and a bathroom. The customers’ wish was to highlight this bedroom, and while all other rooms were to be light, here, on the contrary, they wanted to use dark shades. Thus, an enveloping dark interior appeared, which does not oppress with its darkness but rather creates a sensation of harmony and complete unity with nature. To decorate the walls, we used paintable panels and porcelain stoneware inserts.

An additional accent was the free-standing bathtub made of colored glass, which is combined with a glass dressing room. In the dressing room, we used a technique where instead of the blank back wall of the closet, a light sheet is installed, the color of the illumination of which can be changed depending on the mood and personal preferences. Also, the bathroom area is complemented by vertical gardening.

There are two bedrooms on the second floor. The main wish of the customers was to make it light, conveying the atmosphere of luxury real estate on the first line of the best beach on the island of Bali. In order not to overload the interior, we used the same finishing materials as on the first floor.

These are the painted panels and porcelain stoneware. One of the bedrooms has a twin bed, and if desired, either a couple or two people can live there, sleeping on separate beds. Outside, we have white backlit frosted glass panels that create an unusual visual effect in the evening.

A cabinet with glass fronts lightens the interior and adds air to the space. The bathroom area in this bedroom deserves special attention. A huge round mirror, free-standing floor sinks made of colored glass, a circle of light on the ceiling, a dark niche with a rain shower—all the elements here are worth studying.

The second bedroom has a circular layout and a separate dressing area. In addition, right in front of the window overlooking the ocean, there is a free-standing bathtub in which you can take bright, engaging photos and post them on social networks. To create privacy, you can close the bedroom with sliding slatted partitions.

This bedroom is bright, but the interior is built on the contrast of light and dark shades, which adds dynamics. In the bathroom area, the large round mirror technique repeats, expanding the space. We added pendants as accents. The dominant feature in this bedroom is the portal, which frames the entrance to the bathroom area. This is not just a decorative element; we hid the air conditioner in it, so it does not spoil the interior and is hidden from view.

Artem Naglya, Freedom Estate
When working with Geometrium, we wanted a restrained and status villa, but with some creative detail that could be changed from villa to villa. The team suggested creating an exterior "frame" inside which various installations could be placed – we liked this idea. Overall, working with Geometrium was comfortable; the team listens to our wishes. I will update my review after the project is completed!
